Princess Beatrice’s Husband Edo Mapelli Mozzi’s Ex Dara Huang Engaged

Princess Beatrice’s Husband Edo Mapelli Mozzi’s Ex Dara Huang Engaged

News about Princess Beatrice and her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, has been mixed the last few months. The scandal surrounding Beatrice’s parents, former Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, has reportedly put a strain on the marriage. Although the two continue to push forward as a unit, some royal fans have questions about how they’re really doing.

As of now, it’s unclear—but there’s a big development about something tangentially related. Mozzi’s ex, Dara Huang, who shares a 10-year-old son with him, is reportedly engaged… or even married. The architect shared the news on social media. “Kinda chic to still believe in love,” she wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of a diamond ring, per Hello!.

“It’s kinda chic to not be afraid,” she said. “Be your own destiny and start over any time! I became a single mom at 37 and I started my second company at 40, and I’ve just started working on my biggest challenge.”

She continued, “So chase your dreams, do your best everyday, love like there’s no tomorrow and don’t think life is over when it’s only just begun.”

Dara and Mozzi share a son, Christopher Woolf Mapelli Mozzi, who goes by “Wolfie,” who was born in 2016. The couple called off their engagement in 2018, and Mozzi and Beatrice started dating that same year. They announced their engagement in September 2019 and tied the knot in July 2020. The couple has two daughters: Sienna and Athena.

The blended family reportedly gets along really well. Huang previously told Harper’s Bazaar in 2024 about co-parenting her son, “Wolfie has had two sets of parents trying to help him on both sides, and I just think, ‘The more, the merrier.’ I feel lucky to have such positive people around him, who really embrace him – because it didn’t have to be so easy.”

“It’s all about your point of view. I don’t understand people who are divorced and then hold their children as collateral; that doesn’t make any sense. It’s about creating a happy home and lifestyle,” she added.

Huang’s happy news come amid reports from RadarOnline that Beatrice’s 2026 birthday plans were very low-key this year, amidst her parents’ scandals. “This birthday will be a world away from the extravagant celebrations Beatrice has enjoyed in the past, and far more gloomy. The atmosphere around the York family has changed enormously over the last year, and she has no desire for a high-profile party or anything that could become a media spectacle,” a source said before the big day.

Reports had recently indicated her and Mozzi’s marriage was going through some tough times, as well. Closer recently reported, “Edo wants Beatrice to draw a line in the sand with her parents. From his perspective, creating some distance is the only thing to do right now if they want to save their own skins, but Beatrice isn’t willing to do it.”

“Beatrice is panicking and has told friends she’s worried that he’s pulling away. She’s saying this is all her parents’ fault, that things were perfect between her and Edo before they turned the family name radioactive. She says they’ve ruined nearly every aspect of life and now it’s threatening her marriage,” they said, adding that “things between her and Edo are hanging by a thread.”
