Walk down any haircare aisle and the promise is everywhere: repair, rebuild, bond. What is a bond builder?

What is the difference between the cuticle and the cortex?

The cuticle is the outer layer — the overlapping scales you see and feel, the surface that catches the light. The cortex is the inner core, the structural centre of the strand. The distinction is the whole argument.
