What’s Taylor Swift’s Wedding Dress Code with Travis Kelce?

Taylor Swift’s wedding to Travis Kelce is being billed as “the wedding of the century.” That happens when you’re a superstar like Swift. But with a big wedding come big expectations and sometimes big requirements. What would you do to make sure your wedding is perfect?

The New York Times reports that the wedding will be black-tie. That means gowns for the women and a tuxedo, with a jacket, black bow tie, and matching satin-striped trousers for the men. The women reportedly have a little more flexibility when it comes to the type of gown, with floor-length gowns, elevated cocktail dresses, or dressy separates all fitting the bill.

In general, Black tie is one step down from white tie, which requires tailcoats for men and white bow ties.

So, basically, everyone will be dressed to the nines for the wedding. This isn’t that surprising considering the scale of the event and the preparations.

All of this comes after RadarOnline reported that Swift is facing criticism over reports she may perform at her wedding, with some calling it the “ultimate egotistical” move. Swift and Kelce are reportedly getting married before the July 3 wedding celebration in New York City (at Madison Square Garden), but the big event is expected to be that day.

One insider said, “Most brides want to be the center of attention on their wedding day, but Taylor is already one of the most famous women in the world. The idea of her performing at her own reception is being viewed by some people as the ultimate egotistical wedding plan.”

But others like the idea. “There are guests who think it would be incredible entertainment, but others feel a wedding should be about celebrating the couple rather than staging another Taylor Swift show. It’s certainly getting people talking.”

The singer has reportedly done a lot to keep the secrecy. That includes not telling guests details about the wedding, with people invited instructed to arrive in New York, without knowing when and where the wedding will be. And Hollywood insider Rob Shuter reports that not everyone is happy about the lengths she’s gone to keep everything under wraps.

“It’s a wedding, not a Middle East peace summit,” a source told Naughty But Nice. “People have kids, jobs, businesses, and travel plans. They’re being asked to block off two full days and just wait for instructions. Guests are frustrated.”

“Taylor and Travis are taking the secrecy too far,” another insider said. “Everyone understands wanting privacy, but at some point it starts feeling like they don’t trust the very people they’re inviting.”
