What Did Katie Miller Say About Mackenzie Scott?
The drama in the Trump administration sometimes rivals the drama in the British royal family, or any good soap opera. It’s hard to keep track of who is in a feud with whom and who’s talking about someone else. And the new target for someone in particular seems to be… Mackenzie Scott?
Katie Miller, Stephen Miller’s wife and former adviser to the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), criticized Scott because most of her donations have gone to promoting progressive causes.

In her post, Miller wrote: “MacKenzie Scott has given away $26 billion — almost entirely to progressive groups that seek to dismantle the very way of life that built her fortune:* $275M to Planned Parenthood* $51M to The Trevor Project for LGBTQ youth* $1.2B for racial equity education* $586M to racial justice groups—including Movement for Black Lives* $163M to LGBTQ organizations including Transgender Law Center* $133M to gender equity* $125M to climate justice* $200M to open borders immigration groups”
However, even in her post, Miller didn’t list anywhere near all of Scott’s donations. Scott, who divorced Jeff Bezos in 2019, reportedly donated more than $7 billion to more than 120 organizations last year through her philanthropic organization, Yield Giving. She has reportedly donated over $26 billion since her divorce and has vowed to donate most of her money during her lifetime.
Her net worth is reported to be around about $32.5 billion, according to Forbes. Her ex, Bezos, who still owns around 9% of the company he founded in 1994, has a reported net worth is of $230.2 billion.
Miller’s remarks come after Elon Musk also criticized Scott, responding “Sadly yes” to a post saying that she was “spending it making the world a worse place.”
Scott is back in the spotlight as Bezos faces renewed scrutiny. His wife, Lauren Sánchez Bezos, is now heavily involved in helping him rebuild his public image. Her advice? Be more approachable.
“Lauren genuinely believes people would love Jeff if they actually saw the real him,” an insider told Rob Shuter’s Naughty But Nice in May 2026. “She thinks he stayed silent for too long and allowed critics to define who he is.”
“She’s his wife, best friend, public coach, and biggest cheerleader all rolled into one,” the source told Shuter. “Jeff trusts her instincts completely.”
Allegedly, Sánchez Bezos “thinks silence makes Jeff look cold and detached.” Instead, “She wants him out there talking, laughing, showing personality, and taking control of his own narrative instead of letting everyone else write it for him,” sources said.
Not everyone agrees. “Some advisers think Lauren approaches this more like celebrity branding than corporate reputation management,” another source stated. “But Jeff listens to her more than almost anyone.”
