We may still be living in flip flops, but if you want a jump-start on the autumn nail trends – and in particular, the autumn nail colour that all the cool girls will be living in next season – we’ve got the goods.

We tapped up top celebrity manicurist and OPI Global Ambassador, Zola Ganzorigt, who along with her long-time client, Hailey Bieber, helped launch glazed donut nails in 2022. Since then, she’s been the talent behind so many of the breakout manicures that have made their way across your feed (see last summer’s lemon drop nails and that viral candy cane red Frenchie). And she’s built up a fan-base that includes Blackpink’s Jennie, Kylie Jenner and Sabrina Carpenter. Suffice to say, she knows her way around a trending mani moment. So, when she shared her top autumn nail colour predictions, we made sure to pass on the note.

What is the headlining shade we need to know for autumn?

According to Zola, “rich espresso and deep burgundy are going to be defining shades of autumn.” She explained “they feel timeless, elevated and incredibly versatile – the perfect neutral for the season.” Plus, they both manage to feel classic, cool and wearable, as well as a little more opulent. “I’m loving colours that feel luxurious and effortless, especially with a high-gloss finish,” Zola told Glamour.
