Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce’s Long-Distance Marriage Update

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift will reportedly face a few challenges in their first year as husband and wife. In mid-August 2026, sources told Hollywood insider Rob Shuter that the billionaire pop star and Kansas City Chiefs tight end are spending some time apart.

Swift was photographed in London on Wednesday, August 12, and later spotted at the wedding of recording engineers Oli Jacobs and Laura Sisk on August 15. Meanwhile, Kelce was back in Kansas City for the team’s first preseason game against the Los Angeles Rams.

Despite being thousands of miles apart, Swift and Kelce refuse to let the distance destroy their relationship. “They’re not going to let distance become a third person in their marriage,” one source revealed to Naughty But Nice. “They’ve seen what happens when couples get busy, communication slips and suddenly the relationship gets squeezed into whatever time is left over.”

Like most long-distance couples, Swift and Kelce “text throughout the day” and send each other updates, photos, jokes, and “the occasional ‘I miss you.’”

Still, texting isn’t always enough, so the newlyweds “make time for a real conversation every day, even when their schedules are packed, even when the miles feel impossible sometimes.” But one thing that they’ll never do? Go to bed without saying goodnight.

“They know the little things become the big things in a marriage,” the source said. “A five-minute call can mean more than hours in the same room when you’re both distracted.”

As a married couple, Swift and Kelce now have a few rules, among them being that they don’t want to be apart for more than 10 days. If anything work-related “threatens” that arrangement, then they will adjust their calendars.

“They’re determined to keep choosing each other,” the insider added. “Distance is temporary. Their marriage isn’t.”
