Prince William’s Relationship Update with Princess Beatrice & Eugenie

The scandal around the former prince Andrew might have died down a bit as he’s remained out of the public eye. However, considering he’s still under investigation, the British royal family is trying to keep as much distance from him as possible. And that, to a point, includes his daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.

And that might mean the life the princesses have led so far might change in the coming months, thanks to their cousin William. “He thinks it’s egregious for non-working royals to be feasting off the royal pie like this,” a source told RadarOnline.

William reportedly plans to slim down the monarchy once he’s king, and there have been many reports that the sisters won’t play a significant role in his reign. But his father is reportedly thinking of doing the same even now. “Charles needs to trim the fat, and nixing Beatrice and Eugenie’s free rent is a no-brainer,” the insider said.

The King allowed Andrew to remain at Royal Lodge for many years despite scandal after scandal and his association with Jeffrey Epstein, but finally evicted him last year and stripped him of his titles. Now, Andrew is under investigation for suspicion of misconduct in public office and sex crimes.

And if the free perks stop for Beatrice and Eugenie now, there’s nothing they could do about it. “They’re powerless,” the insider said. “So their only option is to ride it out and hope for the best.” That means that even though there are pictures of William greeting them at Peter Phillips’ wedding, they can’t rest easy yet.

The scandal surrounding their father isn’t the only problem. Recently, the UK’s National Audit Office released the findings of an investigation into royal residences. And the result was the revelation that the king pays the rent for Beatrice’s St. James Palace apartment and Eugenie’s Kensington Palace home, Ivy Cottage. This is a perk usually reserved for working royals.

All of this has led to backlash against the sisters and comparisons to their father and mother, Sarah Ferguson.

“The level of outrage has shaken Beatrice and Eugenie,” an insider told RadarOnline. “The girls are desperate to hold onto their royal connection. Being cast aside like their parents is their ultimate nightmare.”

For some, the worst part of the report about their royal residences is that both sisters are well off. Beatrice and her property developer husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, reportedly own a $4.6million home in the Cotswolds. Meanwhile, Eugenie and her marketing executive husband, Jack Brooksbank, split their time between England and their $4.8million villa in Portugal.

The audit also found that Andrew had been making money by subletting cottages at Royal Lodge to staffers. He paid nominal rent there for 22 years. The disgraced royal was evicted by his brother and forced to relocate to Wood Farm on the Sandringham Estate.

“Beatrice and Eugenie have definitely learned from the best when it comes to scoring freebies and using their status for maximum gain,” a source told the outlet.
