Prince William & Harry Relationship Update After UK Visit
The relationship between Prince Harry and King Charles seems to be, if not mended, on the mend. The two met by themselves last year and have now met alongside Queen Camilla and Harry’s wife, Meghan Markle, and their kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. It was the first time the monarch had seen the kids in four years.
But things between Harry and his older brother, Prince William, reportedly remain strained. There has been no indication that a meeting between them was ever on the table, even as plans for Charles and Harry to meet were being reported on. So, how does William feel about his brother? Is there any hope of a reconciliation?

According to RadarOnline, the answer is no. The outlet is reporting William has “no plans” to reconcile with his brother.
Royal expert Kinsey Schofield believes that William “understands” why Charles is trying to reconcile with William, but would not have made the choice himself. And he, personally, has no plans to meet with Harry anytime soon.
“He can appreciate that a father living with cancer wants to see his son and grandchildren, while still believing that Harry has not earned his way back into the family’s confidence,” Schofield said.
But for William, Schofield notes that his “priority” at the moment is “protecting the institution he’ll one day inherit.” Speaking to Page Six, Schofield said, “In his mind, the issue has never been whether Harry is family; it’s whether Harry can be trusted.”
“One afternoon at Highgrove doesn’t answer that question,” she added. “King Charles can afford to think about legacy. Prince William has to think about longevity.”
British royals expert Hilary Fordwich told Fox News Digital that William “remains adamant Harry isn’t to be trusted.”
“Reports still describe a ‘total blackout’ between the brothers,” said another expert, Helena Chard. “There is no sign of the rift subsiding anytime soon. I don’t see the Prince and Princess of Wales’ absence as a snub. It is strategic. You can’t have an institutional reconciliation without Prince William, the future king.”
“The main barrier for Harry now is starting peace talks with William and Princess Kate, if that can happen,” royal broadcaster Ian Pelham Turner told the outlet. “William has been demonstrably against Harry since his book ‘Spare’ was published.”
William and Harry have not seen each other since Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral in 2022.
“What will the Prince of Wales make of his father’s olive branch to the Sussexes? He won’t like it, that’s for sure,” she wrote. “While William now rarely speaks of Harry in royal circles, his feelings of betrayal by his brother’s departure from the monarchy and subsequent outbursts still sting,” said Roya Nikkhah, royal editor of The Sunday Times.
“The meeting between the king and his grandchildren was long overdue,” Chard also said. “It is, however, a delicate balancing act for the crown. Symbolically, this meeting was huge, but it’s not an institutional reconciliation. Charles had always left the door open. I guess it’s a few small steps forward.”
