Keke Palmer Shares Style Predictions & Launches Fabletics Collection

Maybe you know her as the alien-vanquishing Emerald Haywood in Nope. Or True Jackson. Or the podcast host of Baby, This Is Keke Palmer. Or a famous mom. If you’re really close with her, you probably know her as just “Lauren” (her legal name). Keke Palmer is all those things and way, way more—and now she can also add two-time Fabletics collaborator, because her second collection with the retailer just dropped today.

This collab is even more versatile. It’s “inspired by the many roles Palmer takes on,” according to the press release. Think unexpected pairings of blazers and leggings, tailored baggy shorts that are begging to be worn with stilettos, and a tank set you’ll want to live in. The Fabletics x Keke Palmer collection features 27 total pieces, including accessories like hats, totes, socks, and more (shop it here!) and sizes range from XXS to 4X because Palmer knows inclusivity in fashion never go out of style.

We had the chance to chat with Palmer a few days before the collection dropped. Here’s everything you need to know about Palmer’s style predictions for 2027, when a clothing purchase passes the Keke test, how she hopes you feel when you wear Fabletics x Keke Palmer, and more.

StyleCaster: What did you feel was missing in your own closet that you wanted to be created here?

Keke Palmer: Well, actually, the entire ethos of what Fabletics represents, and then shooting it to myself, meaning like Fabletics is all about [being] easy peasy lemon squeezy. Like, we’ve got these immediate custom fits for you, and you can have this on recall. Just the ease of being able to know that something is already thought out and planned, and you don’t have to really worry about it. And then putting it within all the different frameworks—that’s how that how I exist. It’s like, sometimes I’m trying to be on my music vibe, and other times I’m on my boss vibe, other times I’m on my mom vibe, and so kind of like again taking that like serviceable attitude that I love about Fabletics, but then making it curated towards like all the different places and ways in which I show up, which you know we’re all dynamic women, so we need to be able to know that we have a collection that speaks to every version of us.

SC: what’s like your current go to “I need to look good, fast” outfit formula?

KP: Well, we have a lot of those elements in the collection, so it’s always like a some type of minimalism, like rib tank type of situation. So, I love rib basics. You know, again, like depending on where I’m going, like if I don’t know how serious it is, I always feel like a like a little crop trench is very like chic. It could feel very casual, but also if you need to get down to business, you can just close it up and suddenly we’re Inspector Gadget. But yeah, I think like basics, like a nice cool jacket. We also have a really cool blazer. Like, so any of those kinds of things that allow you to be both leisurely, but at the same time, still pulled together. That’s big for me as a mom. I also love the pull-on barrel pant, like something I can chase Leo [Palmer’s 3-year-old son] around in, but still keep it chic and cute.

SC: What style trend do you think is next for 2027?

KP: I think accessories is the biggest trend that I’m so into lately. Is kind of like this “more is more” vibe. You know what I mean? I’m kind of being very Labubu about it. Like I’m talking scrunchies and hair clips. And things to customize my top, and you know, a little something extra just to make my look a little boom boom. Like, what about pins that I can put on my jacket? Like, I love the idea of like customizing what we already have, or bringing more of ourselves to how we’re showing up with our clothes. Like, I think that clothes sometimes it’s like, yeah, let them be. Let’s be easy peasy about it, which you know, again, that was my whole thinking with this collection. Like, you already have the look, you already have the pieces, and so this idea of letting your accessories be kind of like the gag of it. You can just make something new with what you already have. It would just make it more gaggy.

SC: What’s the real-life test a piece has to pass for you for you to say, “okay, this belongs in my wardrobe“?

KP: Ooh, the real test a piece has to pass for me is that it can be reused. What I like is something that can easily be reconstructed, meaning you almost don’t recognize that I wore the same thing three days in a row. You know what I mean? Like to me, that is the sign of a really good piece that you want to invest in is because it can be reimagined. So I always judge a piece by how many times I feel like I can [wear it].

SC: It’s like girl math, right? Because if you wear it three or four times, then it’s free.

KP: Yes, yes, girl.

SC: When people wear this collection, what do you hope that they’ll feel?

KP: You know what? I hope they feel seen and like, at ease. I hope they feel like I helped and had your back and that I made something that was easy and smooth that still made you feel cute and like you thought you were thoughtful. But that I did at least some of the heavy lifting there, but also still feel like you could make it your own.
