Hailey Bieber’s Gap Jeans Are The 90s-Inspired Denim Drop You’ll Wear All Summer

As Hailey Bieber X Gap launches The Hailey Jeans, here’s everything you need to know about shopping the collab of the summer.

Hailey Bieber knows ball when it comes to beauty. Rhode’s Glazing Milk? My desert island essential. The Rhode peptide eye patches? Game-changing. But now, she’s kitting out our late-summer wardrobes too, courtesy of her The Hailey Jeans collaboration with Gap.

Of course, the influence Hailey has on our wardrobes has been burgeoning for quite some time – she’s a masterclass in how to style an oversized blazer, how to wear slim 90s sunglasses and how to wear vintage or vintage-inspired denim well. Forever nailing that effortless ‘90s aesthetic, we’ve also sought her guidance when we question wearing granny shoes, retro running shorts and capri pants to boot. But this collection launch feels like a natural next-step.

We’re hardly surprised that it’s Gap Bieber has chosen to partner with. It’s a brand Glamour editors have turned to for quality denim for years – and if their previous drop with Victoria Beckham is anything to go by, they’re keeping up with current trends and their consumer’s demand for buzzy collections, too.

The Hailey Jeans – which launches at the end of this week – includes denim staples in two characteristically-relaxed fits. Think: two fresh takes on the brand’s classic jeans styles, taking inspiration from her favourite vintage Gap pairs.

Both the Extra Baggy and ’90s Low-Rise Loose straight-leg jeans will be available in three custom washes (light, mid-wash and dark) and will come finished with ‘1996’ design details, hinting at the model’s birth year, and coincidentally, her favourite style era. Coming in at £70 each, both pairs are crafted from 100% cotton rigid denim – the kind that needs breaking in and won’t lose their shape over time — plus are finished with Hailey’s signature print inside the pocket. Adore.

“Gap has been a part of my wardrobe since I was a kid, so this came together very
organically,” says Hailey Bieber. “1996 was the year I was born, and I get a lot of style inspiration
from the ’90s because there was something so effortless about that era and the way people
wore denim. We wanted the campaign and the collection to capture that same feeling in a
way that felt modern, nostalgic and personal.”
