Did Kayla Nicole Shade Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce’s Wedding?

Weddings bring out the best in people, and often make those who are fortunate enough to witness them believe in love. But weddings also bring out the cynics, and there are a lot of people who cannot be swayed by a wedding. And in the case of the Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce wedding, not all people who were part of their past are ready to celebrate them. Or to believe in love, even.

Pre-Game With Kayla Nicole podcaster Kayla Nicole, who dated Travis Kelce for five years before he started dating Swift, said in a recent interview she doesn’t “believe in the perfect love story.” A reference to the couple of to her love life in general?

In an interview published on July 13 from the 2026 BET Awards, Kayla told Spiritual Word, “I’m grown now, you know what I mean?” adding, “Love is hard. Love is a choice every day choosing the same person.”

The podcaster also said that a good relationship is “hard work,” and explained, “I don’t even know that I need perfection. I just need real,” making it clear she hasn’t had that yet.

But she is still, reportedly, looking for her great love. “I’m such a romantic girly. That’s why dating right now is so hard,” she said on the May 28 episode of iHeartRadio’s Two Personal podcast. “People lack intention. People are not creative.”

She also joked that “romance is quite literally dead,” and said, “The issue that I’m encountering often right now is just men are not intentional enough, and they don’t reciprocate the energy that I give. I’m very intentional. I’m very considerate. I’ll go above and beyond for someone that I’m literally just dating.”

Earlier this year, she’d said on the April 18 episode of her podcast, “In my experience, I don’t have successful, monogamous relationships without any element of cheating.”

She also added, “It’s hard to go into new relationships without the mindset of, ‘I probably am going to get cheated on.’”

Considering who she most recently dated, people took that as Kayla Nicole saying Kelce had cheated on her. Kelce has not commented on their relationship, and she hasn’t confirmed the allegations either, outside of what she said in the podcast.

All of this comes after Us Weekly revealed that Swift walked down the aisle to a string quartet version of her 2008 hit “Love Story” during her wedding to Kelce. And when it came time for the vows, the two got emotional.

“Taylor was emotional while reciting her vows but kept her composure,” one insider told the outlet. “You could tell she put a lot of work and time into writing her vows. Travis teared up more than Taylor. They shared very personal details and anecdotes that some guests had never even heard before.”

“Taylor and Travis both cried during their vows,” another source said, with a third one saying they were “very emotional.”
