As someone who loves experimenting with different hairstyles but lacks both the patience and upper body strength for a salon-worthy blow dry, the Shark FlexStyle has become one of my most-used beauty tools. The appeal lies in its versatility: with multiple attachments including smoothing brushes, a concentrator and auto-wrap curling barrels, it essentially replaces an entire arsenal of styling tools.
While each attachment performs impressively, it’s the curling barrels that keep me coming back. They use airflow to automatically wrap sections of hair around the barrel, making bouncy, voluminous curls surprisingly easy to achieve – even for styling novices. My favourite way to wear it? A big, fluffy ‘70s-inspired Scandi-girl blowout, complete with face-framing flicks and plenty of movement. The results look genuinely salon-worthy, but take a fraction of the time. Better still, because it styles using powerful airflow rather than extreme heat, I find my hair feels noticeably healthier compared to when I rely on traditional hot tools.
