The August Beauty Launches You Need To Know
This scent is not just that girl, it’s that guy and everything else in between, too. It feels a little bit masculine, but it’s not too harsh. It has notes of vanilla, but it’s not too sweet. It feels cosy, but it manages to be lightweight. It’s heavy on mystery, which I really enjoy, and it’s already brought in compliments from my desk mates. It feels timely too, since it’s a gorgeous scent to take you from summer into autumn.
If you want a hyper-realistic “your-skin-but-better” foundation, this is the way to go. It’s not super glowy or matte. It feels really comfortable on skin, it’s loaded with peptides to improve your skin condition while evening out the appearance, but the best part of all? The way that it melts into your skin and other products is unmatched. It’s literally healthy-looking skin bottled.
Much as I love the extended heatwave we’ve been enjoying recently, my body is starting to feel like a kettle crisp and I need a slightly more heavy-duty, but still lightweight moisturiser to keep my skin feeling hydrated. Summer Friday’s Body Butter Balm is delicious for this. It comes in three scents, Vanilla, Pink Guava, and my favourite, Pistachio (which is soft, sweet and milky). It sinks in super duper quick, so no standing around feeling tacky, but it deeply hydrates.
I know it’s still summer but I’m starting to romanticise rainy duvet days and autumn makeup OOTDs. Top of my list is Saie’s brand new SuperSuede Eyeshadow edit of 11 stunning autumnal shades in a mix of mattes and shimmers. There’s burnt golds, burnished bronzes, rust, champagnes and taupes, but my favourite is Dolce, a rich, suede-finish chocolate brown that has sheer smoky eyes written all over it.
