What’s Princess Eugenie’s Baby’s Name?
Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice have been in the spotlight since their father, Prince Andrew, was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office. Then came reports that their mother, Sarah Ferguson, had an even closer connection to Jeffrey Epstein than originally reported. It got to the point where Eugenie announced she was pregnant with her third child, and that didn’t even feel like the biggest news.
But now that the baby is here, that might change. On Monday, August 3, Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank welcomed their third child together at a hospital in Lisbon, Portugal.

The princess announced the news herself with a post on Instagram, alongside the caption, “Jack and I are so excited to announce Baby Girl Brooksbank!! We are beyond in love with our girlie.”
Conspicuously missing from the announcement? A name. And though it might be a while until we get an answer, her middle name is easier to guess. It’ll likely be Elizabeth, in honor of Eugenie’s great-grandmother, the late Queen Elizabeth II, Hello! reports.
Elizabeth’s daughter and several of her granddaughters and great-granddaughters have carried the name, in a long-held tradition for the modern royals. In fact, five out of seven of the late queen’s eight great-granddaughters were given her name, and Harry’s daughter was given Elizabeth’s childhood nickname as a name.
And Eugenie’s family has continued the tradition. Her sister’s name is Princess Beatrice Elizabeth Mary, and her daughters are Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli Mozzi and Athena Elizabeth Rose Mapelli Mozzi.
Up until now Eugenie had no chance to do the same, as she has two older sons, August, aged 5, and Ernest, aged 2.
This all comes after Eugenie reportedly banned the former Duke and Duchess of York from the hospital. “Eugenie’s number one priority is having this baby with the absolute minimum of fuss,” a source told the National Examiner in July 2026. “She doesn’t want the hospital turning into a circus and she’s made that very clear.”
Andrew and Fergie were reportedly not happy with Eugenie’s decision. “Andrew is fuming and taking it as a personal insult,” the insider said. “He doesn’t seem to care that if he’s there it will become the main focus, which is the last thing Eugenie wants.”
“And the same goes for Fergie. She’s pleading with Eugenie to reconsider because she desperately wants to be there to welcome her new grandchild into the world,” they added.
Some reports even indicated Fergie might have been looking at it as a way to get back in with the royals. According to royal expert Phil Dampier, Sarah “will want to try and get back in with the King for the sake of her daughters.”
The author told the Daily Mail that the former Duchess wants to “at least not upset” the King, which is why it’s “less likely” we will see her write another book and “spill the beans” on the royal family.
