Princess Beatrice’s Response to Prince Andrew & Sarah Ferguson Drama

Former Prince Andrew has been embroiled in scandal for most of his life, but it was only recently that he was stripped of his titles and ordered to vacate his home at Royal Lodge. That was followed by the announcement that he was being investigated for misconduct in public office, an investigation that was then expanded to include sex crimes.

And then there’s Fergie, whose ties to Jeffrey Epstein have also been reported extensively. So where does that leave the couple’s two daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie? Well, the two have remained mum on the relationship with their parents after this scandal, but they recently appeared on the Lessons From Our Mothers podcast and opened up about their parents’ separation.

“There was always an adventure to be had, and now it’s so fun reflecting and looking back to say some of the harder times, through divorce, and through challenging moments, there was always an adventure,” Beatrice said about her mother.

RadarOnline reported that “Beatrice and Eugenie have always spoken warmly about the way their parents handled family life after the divorce. They recognize it was a challenging period, but they also credit Sarah with creating stability and making sure difficult moments never defined their childhood.”

These remarks come after HeatWorld reported that the sisters have been concerned about their safety, with tensions rising after Eugenie was recently heckled by a man making comments about her father in March.

“The incident really shook Eugenie up and left her feeling scared – it still haunts her,” a source said. “Her 24-hour protection team was removed several years ago, so she often feels vulnerable when she’s out in public. There really is genuine concern for her safety. She has been advised to avoid travelling alone wherever possible and to make sure the security team always know exactly where she is and what her plans are.”

“Beatrice and Eugenie are living in a constant state of anxiety and fearing for their lives. They’re always looking over their shoulders and questioning people’s motives. There is a fear that someone could target them because of who their father is,” the source also added.

What the sister’s role in the monarchy will be going forward is undetermined, but reportedly, if it’s up to Prince William, they won’t have one. RadarOnline reported earlier in the month that William “thinks it’s egregious for non-working royals to be feasting off the royal pie like this.”

And that puts the two in a very complicated spot. “They’re powerless,” the insider said. “So their only option is to ride it out and hope for the best.” 

The problem isn’t even just their connection to their parents’ scandals; they have their own issues. The UK’s National Audit Office released the findings of an investigation into royal residences recently, revealing that the king pays the rent for Beatrice’s St. James’s Palace apartment and Eugenie’s Kensington Palace home, Ivy Cottage. This is a perk usually reserved for working royals.

And the public wasn’t pleased. “The level of outrage has shaken Beatrice and Eugenie,” an insider told RadarOnline. “The girls are desperate to hold onto their royal connection. Being cast aside like their parents is their ultimate nightmare.”
