Meghan Markle’s Response to Prince Harry’s Buckingham Palace Snub

Prince Harry is officially back in the UK, but he won’t be staying at Buckingham Palace like initially planned. Harry, who stepped back from his royal duties in 2020, was informed just days before his visit that he could no longer stay at the palace.

Sources told royal insider Rob Shuter that this “humiliating last-minute reversal” had completely “destroyed any remaining hope of a family reconciliation.” The retraction has reportedly left Harry’s wife, Meghan Markle, furious as well.

“This was one insult too many,” a source told Naughty But Nice. “Meghan feels they’ve bent over backwards for Harry’s family, only to be embarrassed again. As far as she’s concerned, she’ll never see them again.”

Additional insiders claimed that Harry first declined the offer to stay at Buckingham Palace but later changed his mind. By then, it was too late—and after consulting with King Charles, palace officials cited staffing and logistical requirements.

“Harry kept changing his mind,” one insider said. “Eventually, the Palace simply said, ‘Forget it.’ They weren’t going to keep rearranging everything at the last minute.”

While Meghan is frustrated with her in-laws, another source alleged that she’s also annoyed with Harry for continuing to trust his family. “Meghan warned Harry this would happen,” the source explained. “She believes every time he reaches out to his family, they find another way to reject him. She’s done. She has no interest in ever putting herself—or her children—through this again.”

“Any hope of rebuilding trust has just disappeared,” the insider added. “For Meghan, there’s simply no coming back from this.”

RadarOnline recently reported that Harry’s upset about the rescinding of the offer to stay at Buckingham Palace. A rep for Harry called the decision “disappointing,” even going as far as to accuse the royal family of revoking the invitation “at the last moment.” Insiders further claimed that the royal family intends to “quietly sabotage” Harry’s trip by filing their schedules with numerous public appearances and official engagements.

“The program of engagements was always going to be full, but there is a clear determination that the institution should not revolve around Harry’s movements or the latest twists in his personal situation,” a royal insider told the outlet. “Senior royals want the conversation to remain on the charities, communities and organizations they are supporting this week, rather than allowing another family dispute to dominate the national agenda.”

They continued, “Essentially, the intention is really to sabotage Harry’s trip by generating so much press coverage around their engagements [that] it will drown out the publicity he wants to drum up with his visit.”
