Blake Lively’s Response to Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce Wedding Snub

It’s official: Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are married! The couple said “I do” on Friday, July 3, in front of around 1,000 guests at New York City’s iconic arena, Madison Square Garden. Many of Swift’s A-list BFFs were in attendance, but one of her closest friends didn’t make the guest list.

Yes, we’re talking about Blake Lively, who goes way back with the pop star. The Gossip Girl alum even made Swift the godmother to the three daughters she shares with her husband, Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds.

However, Lively and Swift reportedly had a falling out in 2025 after the Grammy-winning singer was dragged into the actress’s messy legal war with her It Ends With Us director and co-star, Justin Baldoni. As a result, Lively and Reynolds were not invited to the wedding.

Now, a source tells the Daily Mail that Lively’s “fury” over being excluded from Swift’s big day suggests the two are unlikely to rekindle their friendship. The source claims that Lively’s “sad and a little bit p—d. No, a lot p—d,” adding, “That friendship was over before but if there was hope, it’s gone. They’ll never be friends again.”

The insider noted that Lively actually “wanted to go” to Swift’s wedding. “It feels bad to be excluded like that,” they continued. “She had sort of hoped that despite everything, their history was enough that they’d be included, but that’s not the way it went.”

A source previously told Hollywood insider Rob Shuter that Blake even had a dress picked out for Swift’s wedding in case a last-minute invitation came. “Blake genuinely believes there’s still a path back,” the insider told Naughty But Nice. “Just like she had her Met Gala dress ready, she already has a dress picked out for Taylor’s wedding. That’s how convinced she was — and still is — that this friendship can be saved.”

According to TMZ, Lively and Reynolds left New York City ahead of Swift and Kelce’s wedding. The couple, who married in 2012, traveled Upstate to cheer on their youngest daughter, Betty, as she competed in a horse show at a farm in Lake Placid on Thursday, July 2.
