The fervour for these eye-catching flats-meet-trainers has remained high for years now — with more and more brands joining in with their own takes on the piece. It combines the durability and support of comfy trainers with the sleek, chic design elements of ballet flats.

While the Frankensteined style has existed quietly within the trend cycle since 2021 (thanks to British label Simone Rocha), its popularity has exploded in the past year.
