Taylor Swift’s Wedding Includes 1 Major Rule
A lot of things have been reported about what’s being called the “wedding of the century” between pop superstar Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. But between rumors about wedding dresses, guest lists of over a thousand people, and a celebration at Madison Square Garden, there has been one consistent report about what the couple absolutely doesn’t want.
“They said absolutely no gifts,” Kelce’s friend and fellow TE George Kittle said in an interview with Extra TV. Not that Kittle is going to listen.
“I was thinking, Travis — for some reason — likes old coins, so I might get him an old coin,” Kittle said, because people still want to get their friends gifts during big moments. “Sounds expensive, too.”
Kittle also shared that his one “wish” for the couple is to “have so much fun with all your friends.”
Swift recently attended Tight End University, an offseason summit for tight ends, founded by Kittle, Kelce, and Greg Olsen. Not just that, she performed her 2008 single “Love Story” alongside country star Lainey Wilson.

“She’s just such an awesome person to give us her time this close to their wedding,” Kittle said. “So, we’re just so thankful that they’re here.” Not that Kittle gave any more details about the ceremony, or when and where it’s taken place.
“Everyone’s been sworn to secrecy,” one source told Page Six.
Swift reportedly already had her bachelorette party at her Rhode Island mansion, and Kelce was also seen out with friends in Los Angeles. Reports indicated they might have an intimate wedding before, but the celebration is expected to take place on July 3 at Madison Square Garden.
The strict no gift rule by Swift and Kelce had been reported before. “They don’t need anything,” one insider told Rob Shuter. “Between them, they have more than enough. So they decided — why not use this moment to help others?”
Reportedly, the couple is instead providing guests with a curated list of charities they can donate to. “They’ve chosen causes that truly matter to them,” the source explained. “Guests are being asked to donate instead of buying gifts.”
Big wedding aside, Swift has built a reputation for things like this. “This is the Taylor people know and love,” an insider said. “She’s always been incredibly generous — quietly donating, supporting fans, helping people behind the scenes.”
Then there were the bonuses she gave everyone involved in the Eras Tour. And the expectation is the same will happen with the wedding. “Staff working the wedding can expect a very big bonus,” another source said. “Taylor never forgets the people who make things happen.”
“She’s built a reputation for taking care of people,” the insider added. “From tour crews to everyday fans, she shows up in a real way.”
And Kittle’s desire to get Kelce something anyway, people around the couple seem to be on board. “People love this idea,” the source explained. “It feels meaningful, intentional — and completely authentic to her.”
“If you have everything,” the insider said, “the most powerful thing you can do is give.”
